Long ago, when the Silver Millenium was still in full force, Sailor Fortuna lived on her asteroid, Fortuna 19. At this time the asteroid was much bigger than it is now, and supported a (very) small community. Fortuna was of course the 'Princess' of this community, but she was not the first.

She had an older sister, Tyche.

Tyche was the first born female child of the Fortuna 19's royal family, but it was clear from birth that she did not posess the planet's Sailor Star Seed.

This never mattered to her much, even after Fortuna was born, but as they grew older and Fortuna took on more Sailor duties, Tyche felt a few pricks of envy. She loved her sister though, and squashed those feelings as far down inside her as she could.

One day, though, a comet, some debris from an ancient conflict, made its way into the Solar System, too small to be of concern to the Outer Senshi. As this piece of space debris hurtled along its course, not being picked up by anyone, it became apparent to the people of Fortuna 19 that there would be a collision. As the comet was large enough to do significant damage to the asteroid, and too large for the regular inhabitants' power to be of use, it would be up to Sailor Fortuna to deal with it. However, at the time, Fortuna was visiting the Moon.

Her visit was originally meant to just be a short meet and greet with the Queen, the Princess, and the Inner Senshi. Fortuna enjoyed her time there immensely though, and decided to extend her visit to be with people like her - Senshi. When she received correspondance from her planet, she put off checking it - something she would later regret very much.

As the comet drew close, Tyche felt that dark thought enter her mind again - if only /she/ had been the asteroid's Guardian.

By the time Fortuna realised what was happening back on her home, even though she immediately rushed back, it was too late. The impact had destroyed more than half the asteroid, killing everyone with it. Or so she thought.

Unbeknownst to her sister, Tyche alone had survived. Trapped among some debris from the comet and her asteroid, she was flung out of the Solar System.

In a state of half-death, her thoughts cycled from pain, to despair, to anger, through and through. She survived longer than she had been expecting to, finding she had more power than she thought. Too late to be of any real use, of course. Now it just served to prolong her suffering.

When it seemed like forever had passed, and she was sure no one would be coming for her, she decided to end herself. Summoning up all the rage and power she had, Tyche blasted away the rubble that had been her home, and her prison for so long, hoping that she too would be blown up with it, for a quick end.

But once again she survived. This time, however, she had demonstrated her power as she was passing a planet being devoured by Cataclysm.

Cataclysm took notice of this little display and, deciding Tyche would make a good addition to it's army, drained her of the little energy she had left. Tired of life, Tyche welcomed this, putting up almost no fight.

Once all the life had been taken from her, Cataclysm then reaninated her corpse with his own power, the only thing remaining of Tyche being her anger.

Sorry if you read through all that bad writing...but basically although Tyche has been around simce the Silver Millenium, she is not as strong as and therefore ends up working under Magician, and if the current Fortuna were to see her, it would not have a nice effect...
